Learning

" Foundational to our philosophy is that learning should be ‘real, relevant, relational and rousing’. " Greg Mattiske, Deputy Principal

We are committed to partnering with you to nurture your child’s academic, social and spiritual development, recognising the strengths and learning needs of each individual student. We seek to enable all students to explore and build on their gifts and talents as a child of God.

We aim to develop our students’ capacity to learn and to play an active role in their own learning. We want them to be self-starters and to be motivated to set their own goals and strive to reach them. Improving students’ essential skills in literacy and numeracy is of utmost importance, as is preparing them to think creatively, deeply and logically, and to obtain and evaluate evidence in a disciplined way.

Our high quality teaching staff confidently provide an e-learning environment through a Learning Management system, a 1-1 laptop program in the Secondary school and laptop and iPad class sets in P-6.

It is our desire to support all our students to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens.
