Suncoast Football Academy

Suncoast Football Academy is open to students of the College who would like the opportunity to improve their football ability and awareness while completing their Queensland Certificate of Education.

This fee-for-service program is designed to help students achieve and propel themselves to representative levels if they so choose or to consider a career in football.

Our aim is to provide students who have a love for football an opportunity to develop their game skills and to expose them to all facets of Football, in order to provide a genuine career pathway.

Overview

The Suncoast Christian College Football Academy program is designed for Year 4- 12 students and to provide students with the opportunity to develop their football skills as they aspire to reach representative status.

Entry into the Australian Institute of Sport program is possible for exceptionally talented players. School based traineeships are also available to students while completing Years 11 and 12.

Please refer to Entry Requirements on the below PDF Download.

Structure

Students will receive tuition and coaching over 36 weeks of the school year and compete for Suncoast in local and regional school based competitions.

Led by highly respected coach Mr Scott Grimshaw, the program provides a polished and challenging development opportunity that recognizes each student’s individual ability.

Acceptance into the Academy is dependent upon the student’s ability to meet certain criteria. Expressions of interest are received at the beginning of each year and the program is managed by our P-12 Head of Sport.
