Colour Fun Run

Date: October 9, 2018

As communicated last term, we are excited about our whole school Colour Fun Run on Friday 26 October, which is a Parents & Friends fundraiser and community building event. Funds will go towards the ongoing P&F project to provide shade for students around the College. The Colour Fun Run will be a great way to finish the Red Dress Day for Daniel, which is the same day. As this is a whole Suncoast community event, parents are most welcome to come along and participate.

The event will be held on the oval from 1:30pm and will consist of a short circular course with four obstacle stations, some of which will be wet stations, immediately followed by a colour station. The colour powder will be squirted from bottles by College staff only, and people prone to asthma will be able to skip these stations via a slip lane. Students, staff and parents will take turns on the course by Sports House, with Primary and Secondary students participating together.

Students will be wearing red shirts for the Day for Daniel, but may choose to change into a white shirt for the event. This is optional. Care should be taken that shirts are not see through when wet. Students should bring a towel and a change of clothes for going home, which is a must if they go home on a bus. Students should bring a water bottle and hat for the event.

Fundraising is via a simple online process and we strongly recommend that students do not go door-to-door to get sponsors or donations. Each student will receive a booklet which explains the event, sponsorship and how the prizes work. Parents will need to create an account for their child/ren on the https://schoolfundraising.com.au/ website and then send the fundraising links to family and friends. Every student who raises $10 or more will receive a prize.

We are looking forward to a great event for the whole school and seek your support to jump on board with the P&F to maximise our fundraising efforts and participation on the day
