Scholarships

The College is committed to providing a wide range of learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum and to nurturing individual student’s talents and interests.

As part of this commitment, the College offers Academic and General Excellence Scholarships for students with special gifts and talents who, in turn, will make a significant contribution to the life of the College. Scholarships are open to all students in Queensland and are awarded on the understanding that the recipient will complete their schooling at Suncoast.

Scholarships are not available to full-fee paying overseas students.

Academic and General Excellence Scholarships 2019

Suncoast Christian College is offering Scholarships for students entering Years 7 – 10 in 2019.

The scholarships remit 25% of tuition fees and will be awarded for the duration of the student’s schooling, subject to an annual review based on academic performance, high standard of conduct and active school participation, as well as adherence to College policies and procedures.

Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of results in the Australian Council of Educational Research’s (ACER) Cooperative Testing Program.

General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to applicants demonstrating strong academic ability and providing evidence of leadership, Christian character and/or community service. Additionally, successful candidates will demonstrate significant achievement in one of the following areas: music, public speaking, performing arts, sport or visual arts.

Applicants are required to take part in the ACER testing. Cost $120 per application to be paid directly to ACER.

Applications will be open from Tuesday 5 September 2017, closing at midnight AEDST, Monday 5 February 2018. Testing will be on 24 February, 2018.

To apply please complete the following:
  • Click here to take part in the Year 7-10 ACER testing from Tuesday 5 September 2017.

Equity Scholarships

The College has established a tax-deductible fund to support the provision of Equity Scholarships. Equity Scholarships are offered in compassionate support of families who desire a Christian education but who, without financial support, would be unable to afford it.
