Year 12 Formal – Q&A

INVITATIONS

Invitations for the Senior Graduation Formal will be sent to the Year 12 students and their parents/guardians via email.

The cost of the Formal is $139 per person. A separate ticket needs to purchased for each person attending, including the graduating student. As well as the three course meal the ticket cost contributes to the following:

• venue hire
• compulsory security
• cleaning
• lighting, sound and multi-media equipment hire
• photography
• entertainment and decorations

BOOKINGS

Bookings for the Senior Graduation Formal this year are via www.flexischools.com.au. When you book, you will be required to provide the names of all guests for whom you are purchasing tickets including your graduate, any dietary requirements and seating preferences. Please provide this information for each ticket you purchase. Please fill in these details carefully as this information is relied upon for correct seating arrangements, dietary requirements and a smooth running event.

DRESS CODE

The graduates are to be dressed in modest and appropriate formal attire. For all other guests comfortable “after five” semi-formal apparel would be appropriate.

RELATIVES & CLOSE FAMILY FRIENDS

Numbers will be limited to 4 adults per graduating student. Tickets for you, your graduating student and your guest can be purchased online via Flexischools. Younger siblings and boyfriends/girlfriends outside the College are not able to attend this event.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Just Photography will be photographing the Year 12 Formal on Saturday 18 November. The professional photos from the Year 12 Formal will be available to download after the event. We are pleased to offer this service to families at no additional cost. Please note that you are welcome to bring your own camera on the night.

The professional photographers will be ready from 5:00pm onwards, concluding by 6:15pm. Three photographers will be set up in the foyer. Please make your way to the photography stations upon arrival as there is limited time.

Family photos: Generally without partner (unless requested)
Individual and Couples photos: close up and full length
Group photos: If time permits, group photos will be taken. Please think about who you would like in your photo.
6:30pm: Group photo taken on stage. A group photograph of all the graduates will be taken once the formalities begin within the main auditorium. 

There will be a roaming photographer taking photos on arrival and throughout the evening.

Viewing/purchasing photos: Photos will be posted on Friday 1 December on the Just Photography website for viewing and purchasing. All images are uploaded without watermarks and will be online for 3 months. To access and download the photos from Friday 1 December, please click here.

SEATING

The graduates are seated together, with staff, parents/guardians surrounding them.

Before booking online please ensure you have consulted other guests/parents before placing them in your seating preferences. If you do not list seating preferences, we will allocate seating on your behalf. Alterations to seating cannot be made after Wednesday 25 October.

PROGRAM

The complete evening program will be sent home with the invitations later in the year. 

Graduates are expected to remain until the end of the evening, approximately 10:30pm. Guests are free to leave whenever is suitable after the presentation and blessing of the graduates have concluded at approximately 9:30pm.

CAR PARKING

Undercover parking is available under the Events Centre at no charge. The Sunshine Coast Regional Council Carpark is located behind the Events Centre. The street parking directly in front of the Events Centre does have parking meters for payment before 5:00pm.
