Easter Celebration

Senior Citizens Appreciation Concert

Every year Suncoast hosts a Senior Citizens Appreciation Concert where Senior Citizens from right across the Sunshine Coast are invited. With this event we give our students the opportunity to share the meaning of Easter with Senior Citizens from our community.

Students enjoy greeting the visitors at their buses and assisting them to their seats.  Students serve morning tea to our guests who are entertained by an outstanding mini-concert by various students from our College.

A highlight each year is when the Junior Primary students give their handmade Easter cards to the Senior Citizens, and after mingling, Middle School students escort our visitors back to their buses.

We count it a privilege to have these Senior Citizens as our guests at our College. Comments from the visitors have included gratitude for the exposure to the Gospel message and new hope in our younger generations.

“He is not here for He is risen, as He said” Matthew 28:6
