At Suncoast, around 128 students participate in Lego Robotics at Suncoast.

The technology program is woven through the curriculum to support the Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies curriculum.

Recently two teams from Year 6 and Year 9 were chosen to represent Suncoast Christian College at the First Lego League Tournament.

Congratulations to Harvie Blee, Liam Herak and Miller Jarrett for their outstanding efforts last weekend. Tia Lazare, Seraphina Coniswyatt, Charlotte Moor, Naomi Bloxham, Tegan Bailey and Bridie Hicks were also a powerful force to be reckoned with and a phenomenal score of 190 points in one of their robot games.

Our students completed a series of challenges, a brief presentation as well as an interview. They all did an outstanding job. Their achievement is a testimony of their great teamwork, attitude and commitment. Well done teams.

This weekend eight students from Year 3 will represent Suncoast at the Junior First Lego League Competition. We wish Josiah Sibarani, James Morris, Aston Karooz, Jordana Winnington, Molly Montgomerie, Joel Schonknecht, Kai Sharland and Mackenzie Drew all the best for this weekend’s coding and robotics challenge and presentation.
