Presentation and Celebration Events

Date: November 5, 2017

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our annual Presentation and Celebration events this year where we celebrate the many achievements and accomplishments of our students. Excitement is building as teachers prepare for these events with their students.
Attendance:
  • These occasions are the premier events in the College calendar and all parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
  • Students in Years 4-12 are required to be in attendance at their evening event.
  • Students in Years 7-11 are to meet their Home Class teachers for roll marking at the rear of the Auditorium at 6.30 pm.
  • Should there be extenuating circumstances that prevent your child from attending, I ask that you submit an apology on their behalf to me via email to principal@suncoastcc.qld.edu.au.  Thank you to those who have already done so.
Uniform & Presentation:

a) All students are to attend in full day uniform and be groomed in an exemplary manner for their own event.
b) For Senior Years Presentation Night, Year 12 girls are to wear navy stockings (available from the Uniform Shop).

Seating:

a) Primary students will be seated in class groups.
b) All siblings attending are to be seated with parents/guardians.
c) Students unaccompanied by parents/guardians will sit in a designated area under the supervision of staff.
d) Secondary students are to sit with their parents/guardians or an accompanying adult unless directed otherwise by College staff. Award recipients will sit on the far left-hand side of the auditorium facing the stage.

Etiquette and Behaviour
All students and parents are to:

a) listen attentively and intelligently throughout the evening;
b) applaud appropriately and only when required and
c) refrain from calling out or whistling as this behaviour distracts attention from the award recipient and is inappropriate for formal occasions.
