Suncoast Christian College Year 6 student, Diwansha Kumara has been selected for the Queensland Table Tennis Junior Team to compete at the Australian National Table Tennis Championships 2023 in Sydney Olympic Park Stadium.
Diwansha’s selection was based on achievements during the last Queensland Junior Table Tennis championships held in Townsville over the Easter weekend.. During the tournament, Diwansha won one gold medal and two silver medals – cementing his place to compete in the upcoming Nationals.
Diwansha’s goal is to represent the Australian National Team at the Summer Olympics 2032 in Brisbane. He is super keen and dedicated to training, while completing all his school and homework at high standards. Diwansha parents, the Suncoast Primary team are doing an exceptional job helping him balance the academic and sporting pursuits.
