5K Dreams Become Reality With Shark Tank

Date: November 22, 2017

This semester 5K were involved in Shark Tank where the students worked in small teams to develop a unique idea and presented their concepts to a panel of experts to seek funding.

Two groups were successful and recently ran their stalls. Students sold Tropical Punch and Zooper Doopers and together raised $461. In this instance, Project Based Learning has accomplished phenomenal results. After operations, 5K browsed the Compassion website to search for gifts they could purchase with generated profit. The class agreed to buy; Farm Animal Bundles, Clean Water, Baby Essential Kit, Toothbrushes, Pregnancy Care, Sewing Machine and Mosquito Nets. The class are more than delighted with the outcome of the exercise.

Their learning has made a difference to the lives of third world communities and improved their living standards. 5K would like to thank everyone who supported their projects and made their dreams become reality.
