Suncoast Community Garden Launch Party

Date: November 8, 2016

Calling all green thumbs! We are delighted to invite all families to the launch of an exciting new initiative on Wednesday 23 November at 3.15pm – the Suncoast Community Garden. Come along and see the potential and vision of the garden, which will see all classes from Prep to Year 9 involved in garden projects as a way of learning about sustainability, health, well-being and food production.

We are hoping to raise an army of volunteers from our community who can join the garden team, led by the Garden Coordinator, Mrs Christine Jones, one of our secondary teachers, to help establish and grow our community garden.

We are looking for parents and grandparents with a passion for community and gardening to volunteer in 2017.  Volunteers will provide a rich and varied diversity of interests, backgrounds, talents and skill-sets to provide College staff and the students an opportunity to learn from their input.  Volunteering at Suncoast is a very rewarding experience, providing a wonderful way to be a part of our community and will contribute greatly to the success of the Garden Project.

Parents, Grandparents, students and staff are invited to the
Suncoast Community Garden Launch Party.

Date & Time: Wednesday 23 November, 3:15pm
Venue: Suncoast Community Garden
(which can be found towards the end of B Block)

Kids can plant their own seedlings.

A delicious afternoon tea will be served.
