Suncoast students excel at Languages Speech Contest

Archives

Congratulations to six of our Year 6 students who represented Suncoast at the annual  MLTAQ (Modern Language Teachers Association Queensland) Speech Contest in both the Italian and German-speaking sections.

Our students; Sofia Dalgliesh, Edward Hemberg, Livvi Webster, Nicola Penny, Sarah Hockin, Kaitlin Sinclair attended this is a massive event hosted by the University of Sunshine Coast with over 600 students competing from schools all over the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane.

We had 21 students competing in the Year 6 Italian section and it was wonderful to see our students encouraging and supporting one another leading up to the judging. Congratulations to Sofia Dalgliesh who placed first and to Edward Hemberg who was awarded Highly Commended.

Thank you to all of our students who have dedicated much of their own time at home and during their breaks this term preparing and practising. You are all language champions.

Complementi a tutti!
